Today I'm sharing a layout I made using the September Bad Girls Couture kit, "Hurry, Hurry, Step Right Up!" This month there are a set of six ColourArte Twinkling H2Os in this scrapbooking kit and they are AMAZING! I have many of these little sparkling watercolor pots, but it's been a while since I used them. They are a very versatile medium- let me show you:
The main way I used the Twinkling H2Os was using them with stamps. First, I added some Distress Ink in Vintage Photo (brown) to a script stamp, and then I added the (Ancient Coin) gold H2Os with a paint brush over the brown ink, so parts of the script looks brown, and other parts look more mottled with gold for a distressed look. Then I stamped this image all over the Kraft cardstock to make my own patterned paper.
Using the Pretty Peridot (green) Twinkling H20s wonderful way to add color to the leaves that I die cut using the white cardstock. I started out with painting the white cardstock with the H20s, and then randomly dry brushed them with white gesso tone down the color in some spots.
Lastly, I made some splatters using the Ancient Coin, Sea Spray (blue), and Playful Pansy (pink) all over the layout, which are kind of hard to see in the picture of the whole layout, but really add a lot of sparkle and highlight the colors used on the layout.
Thanks for checking out my first project made with the September Bad Girls Couture kit! You can see how the rest of the team used the Twinking H20s as well on the Bad Girls Couture BLOG.
