Hi, friends!
In April, Anna Dabrowska came to my local scrapbook store, The Paper Bunny, here in Las Vegas. And, I was lucky enough to be able to go! It was an amazing experience. Anna is an amazing teacher, and I always learn so much when I take her classes. (I've been to Art Venture twice- class junkie here!)
Class One: Tangled Mixed Media Canvas
I LOVED creating the layers of this canvas, which is 8X10. I could take many closeups, but it could never accurately show the layering of all that was done to this piece! I went for a teal/green/brown color scheme, and I love the results.
I can see myself combining all of these techniques for many future projects!
Class Two: Frozen in Time Journal Cover
So, I chose my focal point in advance for this class- I ADORE the image of that gypsy woman that on paper and ephemera from Prima's Wild and Free collection. I knew that I'd have to use pink because the flowers in the gypsy's hair are pink, and that definitely took me out of my comfort zone, but I love the result!
I chose the Prima Color Bloom 2 Black Tulip for my pink color, and added brown and gold to create a vintage/grungy look.
This class also has many layers to it- I love how the copper and blush microbeads look in the embellishment cluster.
Combining two colors of waxes was a great tip for the finishing touches of the embellishments.
If you ever get a chance to take classes from Anna, DO IT- you will learn so much and bring some treasured projects home!
Thanks for taking a look!
Rae
