Getting Back in the Swing of Things

Well, it's been a while since I've updated! With a difficult pregnancy and a new baby, it's been tough, but I'm ready to get back in the swing of things!
Here's a few layouts that I did with the Swirlydoos May kit, "Grandma's Garden".

I love this pic of Audra. Her teacher took this pic for Kindergarten graduation, and Audra brought it home in a frame that she decorated. Of course, I scanned it and just had to scrap it!

I took this pic of Owen and me a few weeks ago, and I was surprised that it actually came out. I have yet to master taking a pic of myself! That circle is a Dusty Attic chipboard piece, and I LOVE IT! I used a Distress Stain on it, then outline the design with Liquid Pearls. I am pleased with how it came out. I also used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher on the green ribbon.
AND, the icing on the cake is that it was picked for Layout of the Week at Swirlydoos:

I didn't take or have not one picture taken of me being pregnant with Elijah. It never happened, and it kind of makes me sad. But, I actually have about 70 ultrasound pics because I had them so often. This one is my favorite because you can really see his face, and now that he is actually here, it is absolutely amazing how accurate the ultrasounds are! So, I used a Dusty Attic chipboard silhouette of a pregnant lady as a substitute! And, this was the first time that I used a piece of chipboard without coloring or covering it, and I think it goes so well with these colors on the layout! I went crazy with the flower cluster!

This Swirlydoos kit is one of my favorites to work with. The colors are amazing!
