The Sunrise-Sunset line is the perfect accent to the Kaisercraft papers! All those bright oranges and yellows with hints of blues are so different and are perfect for summertime or classic pics!

"There's No Time Like the Present" Wall Hanging

As part of the education team, it's my job to create a project using the technique/project kit every month and make a video tutorial so you can see how the project is made. This month, we got GELATOS! Super versatile and FUN to play with, these little pigment sticks are a must-have to put in your color arsenal. And, the colors are so bright! Also in the kit were two pieces of specialty paper by Tattered Angels- both different in texture and capability. Here's what I came with for the technique kit this month:

And, if you want to see how I made this, check out my video tutorial:

Here are some closeup of this wall hanging:

"Madame" Layout

I love every sketch, but the sketch for the July collection is truly my favorite. I see myself using it over and over in the future! Here's my take on it:

I actually made this layout when I was at Camp Swirlydoos a couple of weeks ago! (I slapped the title on it at home.) I have to say that being around so many talented ladies is inspiring beyond belief- it was so fun to get others' opinions while in the middle of a project- this one took a few turns based on expert advice just a few feet away.

My favorite part of this layout was using that vine stencil- it belongs to my dear friend, Peggy. And, I used the new Ferro that came in our new Mediums add on! I cropped this layout a little larger to show off the pretty blue paper punched trim around the circle.

"Classy" Layout

So this is a picture of one of my besties, Kim. We had a fun photo shoot at Swirly Camp where we dressed up in somewhat vintage clothing. I just love this pic, and it went so well with the "Madame" kit.
I used some laces from my stash. I used a Prima mask and some Martha Stewart Crackle Medium, then rubbed some gelatos from the tech kit over the crackle masking. I used alcohol ink in splash for the blue  "drips".

I have so many more plans to use up the rest of this kit that I will reveal later this month. Thanks for having a gander at my projects!

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Wednesday 7/10 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Thursday 7/11. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:
