Oh my this kit is GRAND! The "Whimsy" kit is so beautiful and is such a breath of spring in the middle of winter! There is NO way that pictures can capture the beauty of the these fabulous papers, so you really must have this kit so you can experience their whimsy. If you don't already subscribe and have this kit in your hands go to the Swirlydoos Boutique and get one before they are gone!

WHIMSY!!!!

And all of these AMAZING add-ons!

So, here are some projects that I made with the wonderful Whimsy kit:

Organic Recipe Box

I made this Kaisercraft recipe box that is featured in the project kit. I did use some of the paper from the main kit along with a few things from my stash including the Tim Holtz feet and curio knob.

"Eight" Layout

So this is a pic of my beautiful daughter on her eighth birthday. She is growing up way too fast. I try to take a pic within a few days of my kids' birthdays and make a layout with their age on it. I have a lot of catching up to do! Anyway this kit was perfect for the pic I chose. She was actually at the Butterfly Pavillion here in Denver.
I have or will have a step-by-step "anatomy" of this page on the Swirlydoos forums today. Check it out HERE.

"How Does your Garden Grow" Layout

And, this month, like every month, we have a sketch created for this kit by Beggahuna! Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I took some liberties with it, and went CRAZY with my punches! LOVE the effect with the array of whimsical colors of the Firefly paper. I did add a couple of things from my stash: the small blue roses, they are from the Encore Prima collection, and I used some black paper to cut out the flower vines with a new Memory Box die.

So, I hope enjoyed taking a peek at my projects. There are many more beautiful things to see on this hop!

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Thursday, 1/24 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Friday 1/25. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:
1: Visit all of the blogs and leave a comment on each. This way we know you were there. Become a follower if you're not already. Take your time. There are REALLY beautiful things to see along the way.
2: Before you leave each blog, look for the “special” words and write it down.
Once you have visited all the blogs and collected all the special words, they will create a sentence.
3: Finally, go back to the Swirlydoos blog and leave a comment letting us know how much fun you had, tell us the sentence that was created with all of the special words you collected. Can't wait to hear from you.

My special word is : WHY

The party continues over at Angelica's blog. Have fun!

The recipe box is stunning. I'd use it someplace besides the kitchen. I'm not that neat when I'm cooking.
