"Life" Canvas
So, I started out with a canvase I bought from Michaels, and used a technique that I learned in Anna Dabrowska's class, which consists of using paper pieces and gesso, but I used molding paste instead, just to see what would happen. I pulled out some scraps from the kit paper that I had from the other projects I had made. Normally, these would either sit or get thrown away, so this is a great way to get rid of them!
After applying the molding paste, I misted the canvas with Smooch Spritz in blue, yellow, and green, then hit it with a heat gun. I added some stamping around the edges. the stamp came in the embellishment kit. Then, I took some embellishments from my stash, the fence and grass from FWAB. I painted the fence white, and inked the grass to make them fit with my color scheme.
Here are some closeups:
I used Walnut Stain Distress Paint on the tree.
I inked and embossed the alphas to get the distressed look on them.
Family Tree Project
This month, Krissy offered a fabulous project kit using this Kaisercraft Family Tree.
For the actual tree, I misted it using brown Chalkboard mist, then took a craft knife and randomly carved some lines to make it look like a real tree, then I inked over the whole tree.
I used a frame that came in the kit, and backed it with the blue kit paper, "bleaching" it out with white Distress Stain. I fussy cut the banner fromthe brown kit paper that also had the frames on it. the sentiment is from the main kit, and the little flowers are Primas from my stash.
Hello Card
I made this using Paulien's card challenge. There is a sketch, and the requirements were to use Prima packaging, and some lace.
I used paper from the kit, a doily that I misted, and some old prima packaging that some Say it in Pearls came in. I accented the lace and doily with little pearls, then added the the vines and pink rose form the kit, The white flowers are Dusty Attic.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my projects, Thanks for stopping by!!!
