So, these are the last of my projects made with the January Swirlydoos kit.
"Too Cool" Layout
This is a picture of my daughter, acting like a complete goofball in the snow.
I used a white piece of cardstock for the background: I used different blue distress inks for shading, then to stamp the snowflakes in the corners, which I topped off with some little rhinestones.
The leaves were cut using Spellbinders foliage dies.
I don't make a lot of cards, but I thought I would try to start! I wanted to keep the design basic so it would fit in an envelope so I could actually send it through the mail.
I cut out the snowflake from a paper from the kit. The doily was misted with Bell Bottom Jeans Glimmer Mist.
"Snow Angels" Layout
This is the other pic of my mother-in-law and her sister that I just had to scrap! I went a little crazy with the mists, but I think it still looks okay, maybe just a grungier than I was going for. I tried to balance it out with all the pearls everywhere!
The flowers were white, but I used a peach Chalkboard Mist. Then I bent the metal trinket flowers that we got in the main kit, then I but big blue pearls in the centers.
