"Beau Jardin" (Swirlydoos) Layouts

The past few months have been so busy with a move from Nevada to Colorado, that I have not had much time to scrap, but I was able to sneak a few minutes here and there, and then finally getting around to posting them!
"Viva la Vida"
This is my take on the beautiful sketch that accompanied the Beau Jardin kit. ( I actually made my own flowers- they are the carnations in the bottom corner. I used distress inks, glimmer mist, and white paint on them. The circle chipboard is from Dusty Attic that I stroked with chalk ink. And, there is hand stitching on the pink polka dot paper. The picture is one of my all-time favorites of Audra. She's really growing up on me!

"My Heart Grew Today"
I have been saving this picture of me holding my newest bundle of joy right after he was born for some time now. I was lucky enough to have a friend edit this picture to get rid of all the hospital equipment. (Thanks, Lisa N!) The papers in this kit just really worked with it, except I had to get rid of the Eiffel Tower on the die cut page, so I cut out what I could, and concealed the rest with embellies. I really wanted to journal on this layout, but I didn't want to share it with everyone, so I decided to hide it by using a tag and putting it at the top where you see a date. It easily pulls out. The corners on the picture are from Dusty Attic. I lightly touched them with chalk ink for a worn effect.
